Nearby Airports
LIR: Liberia International Airport, in Liberia is the closest major airport, 2.5 hours from Club Marina.
SJO: Juan Santamaria Airport, in Costa Rica’s capital, San Jose, is 4.5 hours from Club Marina.
NOB: The Nosara Airport has a few daily domestic flights from SJO and LIR. It’s about a 10-minute drive from Club Marina.
Transportation from the Airport
Shuttle from LIR or SJO
Most people opt to take a shuttle from Liberia International Airport. Our friend Luis runs Guiones Transports and has driven our guests many times. These drivers are experienced with the Costa Rican roads, and know exactly where to find Club Marina.
Flying into Nosara
The fastest way to get here is by taking the jumper plane into Nosara from either the Liberia International Airport (LIR) or San Jose International Airport (SJC). The Nosara Airport is a quick 10 minutes from Club Marina.
There is only one connecting flight per day going out of SJC and LIR, through Costa Rica’s Sansa Airlines. Check flight times here.
Car Rentals
Car rentals are available at both the Liberia International Airport and San Jose Airport. Driving from LIR will take about 3 hours and SJC about 6. For more information about car rentals, click here.
Getting Around Nosara
May I recommend a tuk tuk? These local taxis are a great way to see Nosara. I’ll connect you with a couple of my favorite drivers, whom you can summon on WhatsApp.
You can also walk many places from Club Marina!
Renting an ATV/quad or golf cart is a great way to get around. I recommend Pipin’s Rentals, and they’ll even deliver it to the club.
You can also rent a car at the airport or in Nosara. You need an SUV to get around Nosara. I recommend a 4x4. We still have dirt roads!
